Terces tips his hat to Rhysa.
Rhysa gasps as Calaglin unexpectedly falls backward, reacting quickly from her perch beside him to brace his back and hug
his middle just before he hits the floor. Thin arms straining just barely under the added weight, she pulls a chair near the
pair with a quick swipe of her foot, sitting Calaglin awkwardly in the chair. Working quickly, Rhysa adjusts Calaglin comfortably
in the chair, calling his name softly. "Calaglin..."
Rhysa becomes too preoccupied with Calaglin to notice Terces gesture.
Terces sits down, safe for the time.
Calaglin 's body flops over onto the chair. He lays there barely breathing and unconcious.
Terces starts to become lonely without anyone to talk to, so he does what any sensible person would do and flicks a miniature
wooden giraffe at Rhysa, in an attempt to get her attention.
Terces senses people observing him.
Lylianna said to Terces, "That was a nice giraffe you threw there. You wouldn't want to break it. *smiles*"
Terces said to Lylianna, "A nice giraffe? Are you racist? You sick, sick soul, please don't talk to me, you offend me."
Rhysa places her left hand on Calaglin's chest to brace him against the back of the chair, glancing around for some help.
As her jade gaze falls on Terces, the elf finds herself sandwiched between two awkward situations: being in Terces's presence,
and helping her friend in a crowded but unfriendly taverne. Tearing her gaze from the vampire, the ranger rummages through
her stachel with her free hand, pulling out a small bottle of a watery yellow drink with thin brown roots and green, herbal
leaves floating in it. Having the concoction left over from the last time she helped revive Azalea from unconsciousness, she
pulls the corck out with her teeth, bringing to bottle to Calaglin's lips. Her touch gentle and soothing, she guides the other
elf's jaw to part slightly, slipping the potion past his lips at a steady slow pace, making sure he drinks it all.
Kitty exits south.
Lylianna said to Terces, "*quirks a brow and then shrugs* Okay then... (ooc: Did I read the post wrong? xD)"
Calaglin shakes his head slightly opening his eyes a little. He groans a little as he weakly raises a hand to his face rubbing
his eyes.
Terces is just popular today.
Rhysa jumps in her own skin as her focus and devotion to Calaglin is rudely interrupted by the tiny giraffe. A few drops of
the concoction slip on Calaglin's chin, as bottle's rim taps his lip. Rhysa's entire body tenses as her cool fingertips press
into her forehead to try and quell her fury. With a snap of her head towards the giraffe flinging offender, the elf grabs
the giraffe and throws it back, aiming for Terces's head. "I don't have time for your immature mischief and care not for your
ugly mug! Let me put it monosyllabically for you, Get lost or loose a limb."
Xaandria said to Terces, "Seems someone doesn't want to play with you."
Calaglin absent mindly rolls off the chair and plops onto the tavern floor with a thud. He groans slightly.
Terces feels a sudden shift in the mood of the tavern. He looks up just in time to see the giraffe he threw only moments ago
on a path straight for his face. With only a second to react, he throws his hand in front of his face, praying it will hold
long enough to stop the rocketing projectile and protect his wonderful features. As it collides with his palm, his heart skips
a beat and his breathing stops momentarily. The giraffe falls harmlessly to the ground and Terces exhales, overjoyed that
he got out of this unscathed. When he hears Rhysa's words, he is brought fully back, the terror of the ordeal forgotten, "Oh
dear, that was very close… Is there something wrong?"
Terces said to Xaandria, "Oh, she's just upset. She'll warm up to me soon."
Xaandria said to Terces, "She might."
Calaglin stands up weakly. He takes a few steps but ends up falling over once more.
Rhysa rolls her eyes away from Terces, turning Calaglin on his back, deciding it may be best to keep him on the floor. "Calaglin...Calaglin."
Shooting a glance over her shoulder, she addresses Terces. "Make yourself useful and fetch me a glass of water. Maybe I'll
warm up to you then but I make no promises."
Calaglin raises his left arm weakly and places it gently on Rhysa's cheek. He gently says to her, "Amin liy llie...."
Terces grins and walks over to the bar, adressing Mesthak, "One water, sir." The barkeep gives him a strange glance, unsure
why he is ordering water, but pours a glass nonetheless and hands it to him. "Thank you." Terces walks to Rhysa and extends
the glass to her, still grinning.
Rhysa smiles faintly to Calaglin, her lips parting as if to speak but she is interrupted by Terces. Glancing back over her
shoulder, she forces a warm smile in Terces's direction, taking the glass before handing it to Calaglin.
Calaglin smiles weakly taking the glass gently. He takes a couple of sips.
Terces said to Rhysa, "Is that all you need?"
Rhysa eyes Terces incredulously. "Yes...May I know what it is you want?"
Terces nudges Xaandria, "Told you she would."
Xaandria chuckles at Terces.
Terces chuckles at Rhysa, "Me? I don't desire anything actually. But that wasn't just water."
Rhysa said to Terces, "I hope for your sake that's a joke."
Terces said to Rhysa, "It's a special mix of things. A friend of mine made it for me, and this seemed like the perfect time
to use it. The one who drinks it tends to think they are... more fit for the jungle. A monkey."
Xaandria bites down on her bottom lip, trying not to laugh at Terces.
Rhysa rises to her feet, standing before Terces as she rises up to the balls of her feet, pushing her extended index finger
against his sternum. "I'll say it again, I hope for your sake this is some sort of sick joke. I don't know who you are, or
where your fetish with annoying me stemmed from, but if this isn't a joke, I hope you have some quick remedy."
Terces can hardly contain himself he is so pleased, "A remedy? Do you think I'm an alchemist?"
Rhysa said to Terces, "I don't understand... Why? What did he do to you! Annoy me, fine, but why him?"
Terces said to Rhysa, "Alright, I think you might have a point. I think I could obtain an antidote."
Calaglin begins biting at his armor.
Rhysa blinks in surprise. "...Really? Thank you..."
Terces whispered to Xaandria, "Think you could conjure up an 'antidote' to that potion? Something interesting? *grins*"
Rhysa doesn't trust the whispering and suddenly goes back on it. "No, I don't trust you. I'll figure it out myself."
Xaandria whispered to Terces, "Hmm....It has been quite a while since I have done anything like that but I may be able to
give it a try. *winks*"
Calaglin finally gets his body armor off.
Terces said to Rhysa, "No, no more trickery! She is the one who made the potion, and only she would know how to counteract
it!"
Rhysa said to Terces, "You better not be lying to me... It may seem as if my hate for you cannot worsen, but I promise you
it will if you don't get some sort of antidote."
Calaglin knaws at his feet.
Xaandria whispered to Terces, "I will need a few things for the potion if you wouldn't mind retrieving them for me whilst
I shave the priest real quick."
Terces whispered to Xaandria, "I'd be happy to."
Rhysa turns back towards Calaglin, lifting his head by the chin away from his foot. "Stoppit..."
Terces said to Rhysa, "I will, I promise you."
Xaandria whispered to Terces, "First I need a duck. Don't ask why because I won't tell. Secondly, I need a giraffee tooth
from the zoo in Larket. Of course the zookeeper won't sell you one but just knock him out and take it anyways. *eyes Shaden*
I think the rest of the ingredients I can obtain from here in the tavern."
Calaglin sniffs Rhysa curiously.
Rhysa just stares back at Terces, his promise meaning nothing but having no other option.
Rhysa pulls a bundle of roots from her satchel, selecting a harmless, tasty one and handing it to Calaglin to amuse himself
with.
Calaglin takes the root a chews on it.
Terces whispered to Xaandria, "Very well, I will be back shortly."
Terces exits the tavern, off in search of a few items.
Calaglin crawls over to Rhysa and tugs at her sleeve. He then knaws at it.
Calaglin makes that corset instead of sleeve**
Rhysa gently pushes Calaglin's head away from her corset. "Stoppit."
Calaglin plops down onto the ground and sits there.
Calaglin quickly stumbles up and hides behind Rhysa from the preying eyes.
Rhysa hugs Calaglin to her leg.
Terces returns into the tavern, a little tired and slightly dirty. He turns to Xaandria and says, "Here's what you asked for."
He hands her a sack emitting quite a few quacks and some feathers, along with another item and sits down.
Terces gave 1 duck to Xaandria.
Xaandria grins at Terces as she takes the items and rushes behind the counter. More or less pushing the dwarf out of her way,
she sets the items out in front of her and studies them for a moment, "Still seems like something is missing."
Calaglin rubs his face violently.
Terces said to Xaandria, "What's that?"
Xaandria said to Terces, "I know what I forgot! I need a frog tongue now."
Terces said to Xaandria, "Hmm.. I am somewhat opposed to removing body parts from small amphibious animals, but I'd be happy
to get the whole frog and let you have the honor"
Xaandria said to Terces, "I'll just use the entire frog this time. What harm could it actually do?"
Terces returns into the tavern looking quite pleased with himself. He raises his hand in front of Xaandria revealing a medium-sized
green frog, "I found this right outside! Didn't even have to pay for it!" He smiles widely and hands the frog to her.
Calaglin sniffs around Rhysa.
Xaandria takes the frog and grins at Terces, "He's a good size one." Without saying anything else, Xaan turns so her back
is towards everyone and tosses the entire frog in a kettle along with a giraffee's tooth that Terces found for her. One small
hand reaches over and plucks four good sized feathers from the duck and decides to toss them in as well. The duck jumps up
and starts flapping around the tavern, pecking at everyone he bounces near although the spell blade pays little attention
to the animal now. Mesthak eyes the woman curiously when she grabs a bottle of his best whisky and dumps it in the kettle.
The air in the pub is filled with the horrible stench of the duck feathers boiling in the alcohol and the frog begins croaking
loudly. Once the little fellow stops with all the noise, Xaandria spoons enough of the unusual blend into a cup and passes
it to Terces with a small grin, "Put it to good use."
Rhysa eyes Terces warily. "On whatever honor you have, do you swear this is an antidote?" The elf eyes Xaandria's grin as
doubt continues to fester in her mind.
Terces said to Xaandria, "I'll be sure to!" He takes the cup from her and walks to small distance to Rhysa, holding the cup
out to her, "You can give it to him."
Terces said to Rhysa, "It is indeed an antidote."
Xaandria snickers at Terces as the wild duck lands on his foot.
Rhysa said to Terces, "Don't you dare run off if this doesn't work or has an ill effect."
Terces acks as the fiendish duck pecks at his shin, easily ripping through the leather. He quickly picks it up and tosses
it off in the general direction of Shogo.
Rhysa turns towards Calaglin, pulling him over. "Thirsty?"
Calaglin tilts his head to one side looking at Rhysa curiously and then at the cup in her hands.
Rhysa isn't so ignorant as to let Calaglin hold it in his current state, but instead brings the cup to his lips and tries
to feed it to him with a steady hand.
Terces frowns as Shogo leaves, but perks up once the duck waddles over towards Shishi.
Calaglin drinks the beverage as it enters his mouth.
Shishi smiles at the duck, "Lookie what we have here!"
Shishi picks up the duck.
Shishi said to Magik, "Yer welcome."
Xaandria quickly dumps the remainder of the potion out somewhere behind the counter just in case there's some odd side effects.
Calaglin scrunches up his nose as he begins to quack.
Terces smiles to Rhysa as Calaglin drinks the liquid, "It'll definately make him think he isn't a monkey."
Calaglin flaps his arms and runs around the tavern.
Xaandria blinks a few times then grabs another bottle of Mesthak's finest whisky, quickly downing it.
Xaandria drank a whisky.
Magik asks Shishi while looking at Calaglin, "A duck?"
Calaglin said, "Quack!"
Shishi said to Magik, "Yeah, but what's one doing here?"
Rhysa without warning flicks a hand towards Terces's collar, in an attempt to get a good grip on the vampire and pull him
towards her with a sudden jerk.
Xaandria whispers loudly to Terces, "I don't think using the entire frog was such a good idea."
Magik shrugs then pulls out his bow. He loads it up then points it at the 'duck', "Dunno, but it's duck huntin' season!"
Terces isn't paying attention and doesn't notice Rhysa. Suddenly he is jerked towards her by the collar, drawn near to her,
"Overjoyed at the miracle cure?"
Magik said to Shishi, "Yep. Started yesterday!"
Xaandria said to Terces, "You might get a kiss out of this now from her."
Terces grins at Xaandria, "I'd better! This is a lot of work!"
Xaandria chuckles at Terces, "That it was."
Rhysa twists her hand up slightly to grip Terces's windpipe, pinching it on either side as she glares at the vampire. "Not
quite. You, your word, and your honor as manifest in the lowest plane of existance and exist in this one solely to aggravate
and annoy. You serve no purpose and will die unfufilled. Though I do have some compassion, I pray for death to put you out
of your misery and promise you I will supply it."
Xaandria said to Terces, "Did she just propose to you?!?"
Calaglin continues flapping his arms and running around the taveren quacking.
Terces coughs a bit as the hand tightens around his throat, "Please miss, I said he would be cured and he is! Why do you wish
me harm?"
Rhysa gives Terces's throat one last queeze before pushing him back by his neck, releasing him. "Don't play games with me."
The elf turns from the vampire, towards Calaglin, taking the elf's hand as she pulls him out of the taverne.
Terces stumbles back a few steps and bursts out laughing to Xaandria, "Very nice antidote!"
Shishi hurls the duck at Terces, "You dropped this?"
Xaandria grins at Terces, "Turned out better than I thought it would."
Terces shrieks as the duck lands on his head, pecking angrily at his hat. He falls onto the floor in surprise and the duck
falls off, waddling off and looking for more cooperative victims.
Xaandria grabs the wild duck and keeps it at arms length. When the animal begins flapping about more, she tosses it back to
Terces, "Do something with this!"
Terces catches the duck and manages to secure it in such a way as to be safe from its dreadful beak, "What do you want me
to do with it?"
Xaandria said to Terces, "Eat it!"
Terces said to Xaandria, "No... I think we should leave it here! It could be entertaining to watch!"
Xaandria said to Terces, "It could be!"
Terces decides he should set the duck down and see what it does, so he does.
